Bio
Originally from London, Ann Ingle has lived in Dublin since the 1960s and is a mother of eight. In 2018, she co-wrote Driven (Harper Collins), the memoir of motorsport legend Rosemary Smith, which was shortlisted for an Irish Book Award. Her first memoir, Openhearted (Penguin 2021) was critically acclaimed for its honesty and humour and was shortlisted in two categories at the Irish Book Awards. With her trademark wit and fearlessness, she now turns her attention to the truth and comedy of ageing – a topic she knows inside and out. Still Here -Everything I Know about Being Older (O’Brien Press) is published in October 2026.
