Hector Ó’hEochagáin is one of Ireland’s most loved and enduring broadcasters,known for his boundless energy,curiosity, and signature storytelling style. Over the past 25 years he has continued to connect with audiences across TV, radio, live events, podcasts, and print.

In recent years, Hector has brought people and places from around the world into our homes through his acclaimed travel and entertainment shows on TG4 and RTÉ, including ‘Only Fools Buy Horses’, ‘Hanging with Hector’, and the immersive documentary series ‘Hector Goes…’His award-winning work has earned him multiple IFTA Awards.

He has also enjoyed a vibrant radio career – starting with a hugely popular weekend show with Tommy Tiernan, following by his own acclaimed breakfast show on RTÉ 2FM,and later presenting ‘The Sunday Sitting Room’ on Today FM.

In the past decade, Hector has become a key figure in the Irish podcasting scene as co-host of the hit Tommy, Hector & Laurita Podcast with Tommy Tiernan and Laurita Blewitt. The show’s unpredictable, funny, and heartfelt conversations have made it one of Ireland’s most popular podcasts.

As an author, Hector released the No.1 bestselling book ‘The Irish Words You Should Know’, which showcases his passion for the Irish language and culture. He is currently touring book festivals across Ireland, bringing his wit and enthusiasm for the language to live audiences.
He is also currently filming a new TG4 travel documentary series in Australia and New Zealand, following his recent adventures in Manila, Kuala Lumpur, and Singapore.

Beyond the screening, Hector is a seasoned MC and host, bringing charisma and warmth to some of Ireland’s biggest corporate events and celebrations.
